Job Details
The item we will be designing and manufacturing will be, sunproof hats for children. (After my first year in business, I will be moving into designing hats for adults.) The material we will be using blocks 98% of UVA & UVB rays, which will effectively prevent sunburns and overheating. If I can get enough funding and highly skilled interns, I will also be including matching shrugs for girls and matching capes for boys. I will provide all materials and some patterns. Also, I am very open to having your students come up with their own creative, imaginative designs, rather than just repeating my patterns. The experience and qualifications I am looking for are as follows:
* Need to have English as their first language
* East Indian / Asian students who were born and raised in Canada and who speak
English as well as their Mother tongue would be very welcome*
* Knowledge of and access to Gerber pattern making programs
* Access to own sewing machine
* Driver's license with no demerit points
* Eager to create original designs
* Ability to work without constant supervision
* Hours worked are up to each person. Minimum of 20 hats per week is expected
* Internship would be for a 3 month period
* Must be a Non-Smoker
Desirable qualifications but not necessary
* Knowledge of a second language
*Access to a car
